At Shropshire Gas we do our business with un-compromised
level of integrity and transparency. This, to our view, is
the foundation of a long-term business relationship - supporting
our clients to achieve their strategic ambitions and operational
objectives. We believe that creating and fostering a culture
of continuous improvement and value-engineering is paramount
in competitiveness. Our current business strategy deals with
domestic gas maintenance ‘best value’ and ‘partnering’
with Registered Social Landlords (RSLs).
Our existing contract portfolio includes both of these contract
types.
Sir Egan developed the Registered Social
Landlord (RSL) partnering concept. He proposes that
partnering is about an attitude to team working, ability to
innovate and to create value. Whilst we fully support this
view we would like to expand on this as follows:
“Partnering is a mature management approach and
arrangement that incorporates common sense, trust and openness,
mutual objectives, continuous improvement, joint problem solving
and shared risk and reward.”
Our company has been actively involved with national consultants
and local clients to develop our partnering approach and contractual
arrangements that support the partnering philosophy. The most
notable achievement is the current Severnside
Housing Partnering Contract.
