Shropshire Gas Awarded Severnside Partnership

Heating services company Shropshire Gas has won a five-year contract with Severnside Housing for the service, maintenance and repair of the housing association’s social housing gas heating systems. The winning Shropshire Gas proposition comprises an all-inclusive single price package for servicing, maintenance, repair and replacement of the gas and solid fuel heating systems in more than 5,300 dwellings. The contract also includes the inspecting and testing of smoke alarms in these dwellings.

Shropshire Gas Technical Director, Thomas Murray remarked, “This is a tremendous win for us and substantiates that our unique, all-inclusive proposition fully meets the needs of our client.”

Shropshire Gas wins North Shropshire District Council Contract
Shropshire Gas, the specialist heating company, has won a new contract in North Shropshire. A team of dedicated Gas Engineers and office staff will be appointed to undertake gas maintenance on behalf of North Shropshire District Council.

The 2,600 council homes across the district will now have their gas central heating and gas fires serviced by engineers from Shropshire Gas.

The number of homes involved in this programme highlights our ability to co-ordinate high quality gas maintenance services on a grand scale. This success reinforces that Shropshire Gas is a very experienced and professional organisation, with a proven track record of delivering quality services to the social housing sector.”

Audit Commission Report
The Audit Commission have produced their report analysing the delivery of services to Severnside Housing tenants. One of the key positive messages highlighted was the performance of gas services – which was noted to be “very effective”.

James Walton, Sales Director remarked, “Shropshire Gas has a long and successful record of providing registered social landlords with essential gas maintenance services. This excellent performance, which exceeded 99 percent, was recognised by the Audit Commission as “outstanding”.
